High Ability Programming*

*formerly called Gifted/Talented

MSD of Wabash County recognizes that not all students learn in the same way. Many high ability students require modified curriculum, including learning at a faster pace, access to more challenging learning materials, or more complex content.

At the elementary level, we organize opportunities for children under the Levels of Services (LoS) Talent development model which involves deliberate efforts to discover, develop, and apply the many talents of our students. We believe that it is important for the school, the home, and the community to work together to provide appropriate and challenging learning experiences for children.

At our junior-senior high schools opportunities are provided through accelerated/enriched classes, Advanced Placement Courses, Dual Credit (currently working to expand these options), and many extracurriculur opportunities, including Service Learning.

In the tables below, are some of the opportunites available to our highly able students. When available, there are links to more information. To see the specific opportunities available in each elementary school, click below on MSD of Wabash Levels of Services, then select the school of your choice.
