In 1980 for the hundredth year anniversary, Mr. Jack Miller took the picture on the left as the fireworks went off.  In the picture, the fireworks are hard to see.

The light is not as bright as the arc lights were in
1880.

Photographs taken by Mr. Jack Miller.

He loaned us his slides.

Mr. Brush's grandson, to the right, talks for the hundredth year anniversary about the lighting of Wabash.  A lot of important people were invited, like Crystal Gayle and even the President of the United States.
