On March 17, 1849 Charles F. Brush was born. |

12 year old Charles
Brush creates his first Dynamo Generator which was used to power arc lights. |

Brush graduated from
college in June 1869. |

The new courthouse
was
finished in July 1879. |

The city passed the
order that $100.00 be paid to the Brush Electric company. |

At 8 P. M. on March
31, 1880 the lights on the courthouse were tested. |

The City council
decided to keep the lights on the courthouse. |

On May 3, 1880 the
City Council of Wabash signed a contract with L. P. Dollison. For
$175.00 a year he would furnish the electric Dynamo Generator. It
was also stored in his building. |

On May 18, 1880 the
City Council of Wabash paid the Telegraph Supply Co. for their wires
that were used for the testing of the lights. |
