Excellent canoe camping
info; so-so story.
9. William Durbin. The Broken Blade.
Historical fiction about
the Voyagers.
10. Jane Conley. Trout Summer.

Eddy canoes the Mississippi;
this is also wonderful literature.
2. Richard Simons. Rivers of Indiana.
A beautiful book of the Wabash
and other Indiana rivers.
3. Mark Twain. Life on the Mississippi.
The classic.
4. Allen Johnson. Ouabache Adventure.
Good, concise historical sketches
of the towns along the Wabash.
5. James Gammon. The Wabash River Ecosystem.
A scientific look at the health
of the Wabash River, and there is good news.
6. William Moon. River Horse.
Good entertaining reading,
but not a canoe book.
7. Lori Erickson. The Mighty Mississippi, A Travelers
Guide.
Good info about points of interest.
8. Johnathan Raban. Old Glory, An American Voyage.
Good info?; next on my list.
9. S.H. Hubbard. Shanty Boat.
Also next on my list but recommended
as entertaining as well as informative.

Maps of the river and points of
