Blended Learning ProgramMSD of Wabash County offers a Blended Learning Program as an alternative option to traditional school. This program offers students who have struggled to find success due to any number of reasons (i.e. peer conflict, financial hardship, discipline issues/expulsions, teen pregnancy, etc.) to earn credits and diplomas from a remote location through White’s Jr./Sr. High School. White’s Jr./Sr. High School, an accredited public school of MSD of Wabash County, has a long tradition of working with at-risk students to help them earn their high school diplomas. We utilize web based programs that allow us the flexibility to customize an education plan to meet each of our students’ individual needs. As long as a student has internet access, a working computer, and motivation, we can help them work through their credits to earn a high school diploma. Upon enrollment students are set up with personalized academic plans. 24/7 access to our online curriculum allows students to customize their school day and work at their own pace. We provide help and monitor their progress on a daily basis. In addition to our school staff being available to hold the students accountable for their work, anyone with a vested interest in a student’s academic progress can be set up to receive weekly progress reports via email.
White's Jr./Sr. High School students earned over 3,000 credits during the 2017-2018 school. In addition, 66 students earned their high school diplomas. The vast majority of these students had never experienced such success in school and many had given up on the idea of ever earning a high school diploma.
